WOW, what a spectacular property! The Kenyan Sunset Villa was the perfect mix of extravagance, beauty and absolute comfort...none of us wanted to leave! We have been travelling to the villa over the past three years, and have shared five separate vacations there with family and friends. The accommodation is very spacious and there are separate beds in the upstairs bedrooms for teenage boys who won't share. Loads of TVs and an amazing gym!!! There is wifi, a pool table and there are 2 golf carts for an easy drive up the road to the golf course. The house is in the gated community of Rose Hall and is very safe. Winston the Head of House will show you the sophisticated security system, but there really is no need to be concerned.
Reduced green fees are available at White Witch and free golf (although you have to pay for carts and caddies) at Half Moon 5 minutes drive away. Our teens love the access to the Half Moon Resort that comes with the villa. We have brought other families and the kids don't seem to get bored. There you can enjoy the sandy beach, visit the spa, play tennis, rent bikes etc. You will need a driver for the duration of the stay.
We go grocery shopping with Chef, which is fun! He even taught the girls how to fillet a fish and cook Snapper, and he helped them bake cookies!
The pool at the house is lovely. The staff are amazing!!! The chef Urel, is first-class; the butler O'Neil is very professional and efficient. Stephen looks after the beautiful gardens and the pool and the ladies Jenny and Tracey will do all your laundry and keep the place lovely and clean.
Next year will be our sixth visit and I would not hesitate to recommend it as a luxury destination for an active family with children. We love it!
