Entering Villa Lido to the wide open view of the bay and the Caribbean Sea beyond is a sight for sore eyes. Cool elegant, modern interiors invite you in. The view is maximized by the open walls of glass. Every element of the masterful design has been created to work in unison with the idea of the inside, outside living. This is one space, multi-faceted and beautifully designed. Formal living leads to comfortable sofas in the media area on one side and the in-formal breakfast/bar area on the other. All doors lead to one of the two oversized verandahs – dining & seating are comfortable and inviting. 

The pool & lawn nudge the beautiful white sandy beach of Old Fort Bay. The poolside pavilion for long lazy lunches gives welcome shade in the heat of the day. Sun loungers, both on the deck and on the Baja ledge or the brightly colored bean bag chairs on the lawn, invite relaxation.

The sandy beach is five steps down from the lawn – chose a different spot each day. Enjoy the evening around the fire pit, toasting marshmallows, or enjoy a game of tennis, pickle ball, or soccer in the cool part of the day.

We are a family of six adults, ranging in ages from 25 to 82. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and at home. Mitch, our butler, and Stephen, our chef, sat down with us on our first night and planned out all our meals. They were very accommodating, taking into consideration all our tastes, likes, dislikes, and desires. We had authentic Jamaican feasts, as well as a wonderful Italian night, a special lunchtime High Tea (a first for them, but they seemed like pros!), a splendid barbeque, and so much more.
Please note: Mitch the Butler is also Mitch the Marvelous Mixologist! He made everything we asked for, and then some. Try his Skinny Margarita (it certainly doesn’t taste “skinny”) and his Soni drink, which was custom-made for one of us.
But besides the cocktails and all the amenities, it’s the warmth of the staff that we will remember. We were impeccably cared for and looked after. When one of us had a medical emergency, Mitch immediately called a doctor to the villa and facilitated the delivery of medications. And when someone else, who had mobility issues, had trouble navigating the shower, Mitch quickly pivoted to find a solution.
The staff here truly goes above and beyond. Nevardo kept us entertained with his impromptu singing and dancing, LaToya warmed our hearts with her never-ending smiles and hospitality, and Jevan worked hard to keep the fabulous grounds in tip-top shape.
We have stayed at several villas over the years, in Jamaica as well as other islands, but this experience was by far the best. We hope that all of you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
