On its own sugary white sand beach, lapped by the turquoise waters of Discovery Bay, sits the exquisite home Sugar Bay. The interiors have just been refreshed throughout and are distinguished by elegant custom-designed furniture, gleaming breadnut floors, and fascinating art from around the world. A brand new air-conditioned gym has also been added!
A sweeping staircase curves gracefully through the dramatic living room to a minstrel's gallery and cozy upstairs second sitting area with satellite/DSS television and VCR. Quadraphonic speakers fill the vaulted living room, verandah, and pool area with sound. Salmon-hued Italian tiles, the blue mosaic pool, flower-draped balconies and porches, and terra cotta and stone textures create a Mediterranean ambiance. The soft grassy lawn gently slopes 30 feet from the large verandah to the 100-foot private beach.
Home-cooked meals are served on the verandah ~ or guests may opt to dine in the country-French indoor dining room, a quietly elegant space featuring a unique hand-carved sideboard and rush-woven chairs. As a special treat, the staff will plan a torchlight beach party ~ with chicken, lobster, tenderloin, or fresh fish grilled on the outdoor barbecue.
The seaside gazebo provides a wonderful platform for watching glorious sunsets across the water and dining romantically by candlelight. Star-gazing from this spot is magical.
Water sports are available just a few minute's drive from Sugar Bay. In lively Ocho Rios, 25 minutes away are nightlife, excellent restaurants, shops, open-air craft markets, more water sports, Prospect Plantation Great House, rafting on the Martha Brae, jitney tours of a working plantation, and dramatic Dunn's River Falls. The driving time from Montego Bay Airport to Sugar Bay is approximately 55 minutes. Discovery Bay is a pristine aqua jewel on Jamaica's north coast boasting some of the Island's most beautiful private homes. Sugar Bay is one of the best.

Groceries can be ordered, delivered, and paid for via a credit card from the local grocery store. Alternatively, guests can shop at the local grocery store near to the villa using their credit card or cash.
Puerto Seco Beach – complimentary to guests on Discovery Bay
Located near the entrance of Fortlands Road (a 10-15 minute walk or 3-minute drive from your villa), is the newest water park & beach club to the North Coast. For various fees, guests may enjoy the large aqua park, scuba diving, kayaks & paddle boards. The club hosts a full-service bar and restaurant as well as private beach cabanas or sun loungers for rent.

We had family pickleball tournaments and I used the gym a couple of times. Accommodations were spotless, housekeeping by Peaches and Charm was excellent and Conroy took care of our every request and kept the kids going with delicious smoothies all day.
The food was wonderful. Fresh lobster cooked to perfection by our chef, wonderful breakfasts, delicious grilled snapper, curries, and amazing Xmas turkey. She made everything taste so delicious and Bigga was fantastic on the BBQ.
The staff made the trip. Super engaging, bent over backward, and friendly. Overall, an outstanding trip. Didn’t use the app a lot as we had our family-sharing picture app.

Our food and liquor bill for the 5 nights for 9 people came out to $3000.00 which we thought was reasonable giving the quality, variety and abundance of our meals.
The 5 member staff took care of our every needs. Special recognition to Jay the butler and Nicole the chef/house manager.
The boat charter was really fun, but not really for kids. Definitely set up more for a relaxing day at sea.
The Blue Hole was amazing. We didn’t need to book an excursion as our driver took us right up. It was about a 45 minute drive. River tubing was really fun and only 15 minutes from the villa.
I would give this villa 5/5 stars. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Also, our chef Nicole was not only patient with our requests, but managed to create three incredible meals every day. Her smile and willingness to share cooking tips was refreshing. Peaches also was gracious and welcoming as well all the staff.
I am not sure which is the greater asset… the home or the staff. But together they make for a perfect vacation!
